Here's an excerpt from a recent Kingsport Times-News, February 10, 2013 article about John Spainhour, a top performing model who was discovered at an MAAI Convention and Showcase:
“One of Spainhour’s first modeling assignments was the Modeling Association of America International’s convention in Miami, Fla., in April 2011. Spainhour took the award for Overall Male in this international event. Not bad for someone who’d never done this type of work before. “(His agent) was really happy about that. I got a lot of good feedback from there. There were a bunch of potential agencies there from New York and Los Angeles and Miami and outside the country. They were there scouting for new potential models to hire.” Spainhour said.”
